At the plate he uses a narrow open stance, back elbow high with a bat waggle, loose hands confident approach. on the pitch he strides back to even extremely fluid Barrel path slightly uphill, repeatable with long extension, plenty of bat speed projection from the 2019 prospect. Defensively, receives from an athletic stance, soft hands quick release from a high 3/4 slot, arm strength of 75 mph with an above average pop time of 2.01 to the bag. Outstanding catching prospect to keep a close eye on.
Last Chance Preview (November 18, 2017)
Durable 6-foot-0 180 pound frame. The catcher ran a 7.19 60. Offensively- Open setup with feet just within shoulder width. Hands work straight back; aggressive with lower half and hands into the zone. Middle to pull side contact with a mix of results; the more he repeats his actions, the better. Exit velocity peaked at 84 MPH. Defensively- Suitable arm strength at 74 MPH behind the dish. Soft receiver with clean/quick exchange. Accurate on-the-bag throws with his pop time in the 2.06-2.11 range. Next level player who will continue to improve.

On the pitch he uses a pronounced knee lift with long stride, hands load back after the stride, slight drop, barrel path is slightly uphill with full extension, signs of power to pull side (89 mph exit velocity). Defensively- shows soft hands receiving, quick short transfer with a strong throwing arm (75 mph) behind the plate, a 2.03-2.07 pop time to the bag. Overall, backstop with the ability to throw runners out and hit for power in the lineup. Player to keep an eye on.
