Physical: Lengthy, high-waisted 5-foot-10, 170lb frame with two-way athleticism that translates. 7.67 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, crouched stance with quick-paced hands operating in rhythm off the backside shoulder. Utilized a high leg lift up/down to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Short hands and ability to stay inside the baseball, controlling the barrel while showing off a strong top of the order approach. Was able to whip through impact and create big time extension, producing a 56% fly ball rate during BP (via Trackman) and working up to a 340 foot batted ball distance (doubles power). Notched a T94 mph bat-exit velocity and there’s room for more coming soon.
Defensively: The shortstop featured a medium/upright posture, bending at the waist after arriving on time with active feet to the fielding window. An accurate, soft glove hand funneled smoothly and got ride with momentum over the front side at H ¾. Good internal clock and noticeable feel during double play turns (T82 mph arm strength).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber, working at a breakneck pace. Got down the slope maintaining a higher posture in the body at footstrike, repeating well at H ¾ slot. The FB ranged from 81-84 mph with strike-throwing abilities and easy efficiency/cheese out of the hand. Mixed a hard-biting 69-71 mph SL across the plate and added a short, fading 70-72 mph CH in any count (average sell).
