Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
Physical: 6-foot-0, 155 pounds; wiry, athletic frame. 7.46 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Shoulder width stance with relaxed hands just below his back shoulder; leans back on his back leg to load and flicks the tip of his barrel toward the pitcher to help load the hands a bit. Lunges forward at the ball, rotates well around his hips with an uphill barrel path with a clean barrel turn behind him to aid in getting on plane easier. Lifted the ball very well to the left side of the field, showing the ability to consistently find barrels; peak Trackman exit velocity of 79 MPH. Defensively: Upright stance, but maintains light feet to move quickly; let the ball travel to him but gets around the right side of the ball to gain momentum. Soft hands that funnel to his chest into a clean transfer; long arm swing into a 3/4 slot with exceptional arm speed. INF - 76 MPH.
7/22/20
Physical: Long and wiry 6-foot, 155-pound frame with projectability in the build. 7.68 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Tall and narrow stance with the hands at the shoulder as the barrel pointed upwards, slight bend in the knees, utilized a leg hang stride to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path with high level bat speed through the zone. Was repeatedly on time at the front of the plate with the ability to lift pitches in any quadrant to the LCF gap. Showcased advanced feel for the hands while consistently staying inside the baseball and delivering the bat head with authority at impact. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 87 mph during batting practice per Trackman Baseball while hitting into a stiff front side.
Defensively: The primary shortstop demonstrated loose, clean actions on the left side of the infield with a feel for pace and ability to stay low through the fielding window. A soft glove hand could push or give depending on the hop and he used advanced footwork to set up the approach. Moved well laterally with rangy movements to either side, projects as a shortstop at the next level. SS - 82 mph
2/17/20

Open stance and comes to close himself off with stride; little leg lift; balanced; gets the bat through the zone Upwards swing path; drives the ball all over the field; two-handed high finish. Power: 79 MPH raw exit velocity. Signs of pop to opposite field; consistent line drives pull side. Defense: Active footwork; can move laterally with good footwork; lets the ball funnel into stomach; smooth glove work with exceptional hands. Arm: 3/4 arm slot; long arm swing; gets body into throw . INF - 75 MPH.
