Keshner, a 2018 right-handed hitting middle infielder, stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 170 pounds, ran a 4.6 from home to first. Offensively- Starts with a slightly open lower half with a subtle shift of weight to the back leg while the hands are held in front and slightly above the back shoulder and barrel of the bat 45 degrees from the ground. Gets to the launch position of the swing with a weight shift to the backside with a subtle inward rotation of the lead knee while the hands move minimally towards the back shoulder keeping the angle of the bat at 45 degrees. Hands moved quickly and compact to the ball during batting practice, driving the ball well from the pull side gap to the opposite field gap. Recorded an exit velocity of 77 MPH, which should improve with a more aggressive approach with the lower half, creating more bat speed. Defensively- Starts in an athletic position with both hands in front of the body creating a pre-pitch movement with a slight step and hop method. Field the ball well to the backhand side utilizing good posture and a quick transfer. With balls hit direct or to the glove side, the transfer gets delayed and has a tendency to double-tap creating a problem with the sequence of footwork and arm. Recorded an arm velocity of 69 MPH, with some throws showing good but inconsistent carry along with good accuracy.
