Showed feel for a CH at 73-74 MPH. The 2022 graduate is a must follow.

Lanzer is a 5-foot-10 135-pound left handed pitcher and first baseman. Tall lanky frame. Ran an 8.14 60 and a 4.65 home-to-1B from the left side. Offensively- Stands with legs shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent. Simple pick up and put down of front leg, hands high near the head. Quiet load of the hands; Out on the front foot at times but yet able to stay in the zone; 72 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Moves well for his size and age; active pre-pitch and agile with first step. Quick transfer from glove to hand allows for a fast release; fields ball out in front of body. Pitching- Starts with feet spread apart on rubber, facing catcher. Steps off to the side of the rubber, knee comes up slightly past the belt. Drives down the mound well, throws with high 3/4 arm slot. Up-tempo delivery; uses lower half well. Fastball sits 71-73 MPH. Slows down motion when throwing off-speed pitches. Change up was 61-64 MPH. Overall a solid foundation as a dual player.
