WNY Prospect Preview (July 5, 2016)
Cameron checks in as a 6-foot-1, 175 pound LHP. Pitching- Cameron sets up on the right side of the rubber. A shallow side step transitions him into his leg kick, which he brings up high and tucked in tight to his body. Would like to see a longer stride, especially with ability to get out in front on his over the top delivery. Recoils out of his finish.  FB came in at 76-78 MPH, a consistent 6-8 MPH bump from last July. Great command with the fastball, Good breaking curveball with 12-to-6 action; 63-65 MPH. Changeup was sitting 64-65 MPH. Physical frame  supports additional gains; pitchability is there.
NY Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Morrissey is a lean 6’1”, 175-Pound LHP/1B (5-pound increase from 5/2016). Pitching- Crafty lefty that starts on the middle of the mound with drift towards third prior to the leg kick. Violent chest high leg kick, and reaches far back; working through a low 3/4 arm slot. Pulls down on ball well at release point, and follows through over a bent front leg with a late brace up. Maintenance of arm speed with secondary pitches will only make him more effective; especially vs. RHH. FB sat 73-77 MPH with arm side sink; CB 66-67 MPH with some late tilt/slider tendencies.
May 2016
A 6-foot-1, 170-pound slender frame; long lower half. Long arm action with good extension.  Attacks hitters with 75-78 MPH fastball tailing down and inside to right-handed batters. Employs put away curveball when ahead in count. Struck out six in a row against Oswego last week. He’s racked up 26 strikeouts in 30 innings; hold runners well with above average pick move.
Central NY Open (July 15, 2015)
Morrissey, a slightly built 2017 grad will project into that LHP that everyone hates to face. Pitching- A balanced delivery throughout, Morissey comes at you from a low 3/4 arm slot with a fastball that possesses some zig-zag action. Maintains a long and loose arm action. Velocity sits below average at 70-71 MPH but plus movement tricks hitters into thinking they have something on the barrel. Stayed at the knees throughout his outing. When on top of breaking ball it featured 10-to-4 action with late bite around 60MPH. When underneath, not much lateral action and in the 57-58 MPH range. Change up sat in the -10 differential department and features some deception with late arm side fade. Some additional velocity gains will help but Morrissey also demonstrated that he can pitch to contact, change speeds and move the ball effectively. Could be a sleeper pick by the time he's a senior.
