Pitchers

Dillan Wilktinson, LHP, Liverpool HS, NY (2016)
Wilkinson, a 2016 grad, sat 75-76 (top 77 MPH) with his fastball which featured some late life. The broad shouldered LHP featured a balanced delivery with a square finish to the plate over his front side. Wilkinson featured an easy arm action from a high 3/4 arm slot. Curveball featured some 1-7 shape and was able to use it to both sides of the plate at 60-62 MPH. Change up checked in at 63-67 but will need to develop a better feel going forward.

Billy Clifford, RHP, Baldwinsville HS, NY (2016)
Clifford, an athletically built RHP with a loose and long arm action comes at you with a high 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 79-81, touching 82 MPH with some late cut action. Curveball clocked in at 68-69 MPH with some 2-to-8 shape and tight rotation. Change up held a 8-10 MPH differential at 71 MPH and featured some late arm side fade.

Jacob Schettine, LHP, Cazenovia HS, NY (2017)
Schettine, a 2017 LHP from Cazenovia HS features a tall and lanky, yet athletic build with a balance delivery that could benefit from a bit more momentum. Fastball sat 72-74 MPH, touching 75 MPH. Short arm path on the upswing of his arm action, possibly inhibiting some velocity but at the same time producing some arm side run. Breaking ball had more lateral action then depth, sweeping 10-to-4. Change up held it's location before some late arm side fade in the 65-66 MPH range.

Caleb Philips, RHP, Liberty HS, NY (2016)
Philips, a tall and lanky RHP from Liberty HS featured a balanced delivery with long and loose arm action with a slight wrap. Finishes balanced and over front side. Delivery is fairly clean and would benefit from additional tempo. Fastball sat 72-74 MPH with a lot more in the tank. Breaking ball and change up lacked feel today with the CB showing some 1-7 action but with loose rotation and at 60-62 MPH. Change looked choked at times in the 67-69 MPH range, not getting the ideal resistance  through the release. As evidence during his Individual Player Evaluation (IPE) in June of 2015, he definitely showed better command and tighter action to his breaking ball and better feel for change. Additional physical gains will go nicely with his frame.

Kobie Punchard, RHP, Thomas Edison HS, NY (2016)
Punchard, a 2016 grad, features a tall and lanky build with long but wrapping arm action that produces a slinger's release from a low 3/4 arm slot. The RHP maintains a balanced delivery throughout. Fastball sat 75-78, flashing 80 MPH one time with some sink. Breaking ball was of the slider family,  with tight spin and late tilt, falling in the 2-to-8 shape.  At times Punchard would get underneath and the breaking action would present early. Slows arm slightly on change up but was deceptive with some splitter like action late. More in the tank here.

Alec Teska, RHP, Cato-Meridian HS, NY (2017)
Teska, with an athletic and wiry build showed a balanced delivery finishing slightly off to his glove side. Showed pitchability as he worked his fastball in and out to both sides of the plate. Did show some arm side run at 77-78, touching 81 MPH. Plenty of room for physical gains to which the velocity will follow. Features a mid 3/4 arm slot but drops a bit lower for breaking ball that sat in the 60-63 range. Action was in the 2:30-to-8:30 range when on top and backed up on him when underneath, loosing the tighter rotation and falling into the 59-60 MPH range. Change up showed positive differential at 68-70 but lacked feel as it often was spiked or cut. Knows how to setup hitters and get outs.

Cameron Morrissey, LHP, Baldwinsville HS, NY (2017)
Morrissey, a slightly built 2017 grad will project into that LHP that everyone hates to face. A balanced delivery throughout, Morissey comes at you from a low 3/4 arm slot with a fastball that possesses some zig-zag action. Maintains a long and loose arm action. Velocity sits below average at 70-71 MPH but plus movement tricks hitters into thinking they have something on the barrel. Stayed at the knees throughout his outing. When on top of breaking ball it featured 10-to-4 action with late bite around 60MPH. When underneath, not much lateral action and in the 57-58 MPH range. Change up sat in the -10 differential department and features some deception with late arm side fade. Some additional velocity gains will help but Morrissey also demonstrated that he can pitch to contact, change speeds and move the ball effectively. Could be a sleeper pick by the time he's a senior.
