The approach to the ball is aggressive and athletic. Behind the dish, the skill set is solid, threw 80 mph down to second base. The pop time is 1.93, the release is solid, the feet can improve and he possesses a soft glove. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. The set up wide in base and the hands work freely. There is effort in the swing, the path has a small amount of lift in it. Shortening the path will aid the impact at contact. Skill set as a defender is advanced.

At the plate he's wide with little to no lower half movement, repeatable swing with 83 mph exit velocity off a tee. Additional strength gains this winter will aid in increasing bat-speed. Behind the plate it's obvious to our staff he's put a lot of time into become a next-level prospect. Fundamentally sound with soft quick hands receiving, super quick footwork and transfer, releases ball from an above average arm-strength at 75 mph with pop times sub 2.0. Look for Sullivan to continue his climb up the rankings with a big off season in the weight room and training centers.

Campus Series-Marist (July 25, 2017)
Sullivan checks in at 5-foot-8, 160-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Righty shows a quick swing with clean mechanics making solid contact. Features a level swing with good lower body rotation utilizing his whole-body frame throughout the swing. Demonstrated good plate coverage making solid contact to all fields. Overall a fluid set up, transfer, and swing that will only get better. Recorded an exit velocity of 83 MPH. Defensively- In the outfield, good approach and footwork to get underneath baseball. Shows a good transition from glove to throwing hand. Has a good outfielder arm swing with aggressive footwork towards target making accurate throws. Recorded a positional outfield arm velocity of 79 MPH. Behind the plate, frames well keeping his glove and body quiet. Has good mechanics on throws to second with a quick arm swing and a downhill throwing motion. Blocks well keeping the ball in front of him and is athletic getting back up on his feet. Recorded a positional arm velocity as a catcher at 75 MPH with pop times ranging from 1.99-2.06.
