Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A lean 5-foot-9, 160 pounds frame. Ran an 8.41 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Simple load actions, slight lift with the back elbow before attacking the baseball. Throws the hands into the hitting zone. Flat bat path. Balanced throughout the swing. Top exit velocity was 71 MPH. Defensively- the 1B showed solid infield actions. Sits back and waits on the ground ball, soft hands and quick exchange to a throwing position. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot across the diamond. Top throwing velocity was 63 MPH. Pitching- the left handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable arm. Works with tempo and balanced throughout the delivery. Low effort arm action. Works downhill from a high knee lift and early hand separation. Showed plus command of a FB topping out at 73 MPH. CB has a tight spin and ranged from 60-63 MPH. Feel for a CH at 61-63 MPH. With some development, the 2022 LHP will be a must follow going forward.
