2/10/19 -Youthful, 6-foot 175, Parmer has a thick wide frame in a developing body. Present mass and strength will benefit from natural maturation and strength/conditioning program. Work and repetition will foster unpolished actions that are best suited for corner infield position. He has a working knowledge of infield mechanics but footwork and rhythm need to work in concert. He throws from a low ¾ slot that hinders carry, in spite of recognizable arm strength. At the plate, he relies on strength over bat speed. He has a manageable length to his slightly uphill swing. Contact consistency requires present attention but when he gets a hold of it, it has a chance to go for a while.
He delivers from a ¾ arm slot with an upright delivery and short stride. He has a developing repertoire that will be enhanced with a more efficient use of his lower half. He loads his nicely with a slight hip turn, followed by a leg swing on his way to the plate. There is an apparent feel for spin but he pre grips the breaking ball as well as the change of speeds. Plenty of time for Parmer to carve his path with shear natural strength, should be interesting to monitor progress in the years to come.
