A Future Games participant as a member of team PBR Nevada in 2020, AJ moved to Utah this past January to attend Crimson Cliffs, which is an hour and half from where he was raised in the Las Vegas area. A versatile player as he can play both OF corners, but his home and more comfortable spot is 1B. A strong RH hitter with present strength and the ability to drive the ball to the pull side, AJ does wrap his top hand on the bat and this needs to be tweaked to get him to a more conventional position of palm up/palm down. A sponge and receptive and coachable with an engaging personality, AJ has some untapped potential with the bat moving forward and does need some intricacy type stuff at 1B defensively to unlock his full potential. Will be a cog in the order over the next couple of years at Crimson Cliffs, whether that’s 1B, OF corner and DH to get his bat in the order, as Crimson has a strong 2023 class.
