Roman has a 5-foot-11, 183-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 94 mph, showing present strength. Starts in balanced athletic  stance, has a wrapping load and uses a leg kick to start his swing. Has present bat speed, a flat swing plane and a high finish. Bat path displayed a gap to gap approach along with showing an easy effort swing. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 83 mph. Had sure hands, rhythmic feet and a clean exchange. Had accuracy to the base and a loose arm action. He displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.92.

Roman has a lean and athletic build at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.40 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 75 MPH. Offensively, starts at the plate in an open stance with his feet narrow. Hands begin in line with his back shoulder, away from the body. Creates pre-pitch rhythm. Short stride. Hands move slightly backwards during his load. Quiet, short to the ball. Hands stay through the zone. One-handed finish. Roman took defensive reps in the infield. Recorded a top velo of 82 MPH on throws across the diamond. Fields the baseball under control. Positions his feet to get into an athletic throwing position after fielding the ball. Brings the ball to his midsection, where he transfers close to his body. Gathers himself with a shuffle and a glove tap before making strong throws from a 3/4 arm slot. 

 
Underclass Games (September 24th, 2017)
Roman has a lanky, athletic build at 5-foot-11 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.34-seconds and recorded an exit velocity that topped at 78 MPH. At the plate, starts in a tall, slightly opened stance with hands in line with back shoulder. Uses a small foot stride to start swing. Hands load straight back with some quickness. Power will continue to develop as he adds strength to fill out frame. Line drive hitter, balanced finish. Defensively, took reps at SS. Velocity topped at 78 MPH across the infield with from backspin and carry on the bag. Shows some agility in footwork, glove works smooth with an easy transition. Shorter, quicker arm action from a 3/4 slot.

Last Chance Open I.D. Showcase (November 5th, 2016)
Roman has a lanky build at 5-foot-9 155-pounds. Offensively- Roman sets up in a wide stance with a crouch. Hands are set up high above his back shoulder. He uses a small stride/toe tap to start swing. Power comes from hips, minimal weight transfer and hand load. Quiet approach. Flat bat path - recorded an exit velocity of 71 mph. Power will continue to improve as he matures, but fundamentals are there. Defensively- agile movements at shortstop. Exchange is clean and throws topped at 77 mph across the infield. High-3/4 slot, throws had backspin and carry.
