Jackson Cheek: OF/RHP, (2022) Nettleton, MS. 6-foot-2, 165-pound lean frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 95 mph, showing his ability to drive the ball with power. Started in a tall stance with a smooth load, then used a leg kick to start his swing. Bat speed is explosive, has upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 87 mph; showed a clean exchange, athletic feet and consistent hands. Had a long arm action on his throws. Recorded a 60 time of 7.2 at the event. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 82-84 mph and topped out at 84 mph. Curveball (72-74 mph), changeup (77-78 mph).
