Misioroswki had some draft attention, including a pre-draft workout by PBR as a prep and it has only continued to trend upward. Now committed to Louisiana State, the 6-foot-7 righty sits in the mid-90s with a high-spin fastball that touches 98, out of a 3/4 slot with a loose arm action that enables him to create more than 20 inches of Induced Vertical Break on average. He also flashes a potential plus slider with sharp lateral bite at 85-87, a low-80s curveball and a changeup that he does not need to use very often but shows potential. After missing time due to injury as a freshman in 2021, Misiorowski's health and durability will be a key factor in allowing him to reach his top-of-the-rotation and first-round upside in '22.
5/28/20
Long, slender bodied and projectable at 6-foot-6, 200 pounds, Misiorowski works down the mound getting excellent extension out front (6'7+). From a 3/4 slot he's long and loose with a present fastball ranging from 90-93 and spin rates in the 2400-2500s. And, there looks to be much more in the tank. He can also spin it with two different breaking balls. When separated his upper 79-81 mph curveball is a tight spinner with late action; future plus pitch. His slider comes to the plate in the 82-84 mph range with greater lateral movement. Spin rates for both pitches are in the 2500s. He's also able to subtract, mixing in a 82 mph high spin (2400 rpm) change of pace. It's a work-in-progress at this point in time but Misiorowski is a top three round talent. However, signability will determine whether he is ultimately selected this June in a shortened, five round draft.
