Kansas Underclass Games: 2020 Pitchers Analysis

Prep Baseball Report - Kansas held the Kansas Underclass Games at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas on Tuesday, June 5. Over seventy players attended in the 2020-2021 class.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard. Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos. Today will take a closer look at the 2020 pitchers from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.
The 2020 pitchers included a total of eighteen pitchers total, one was left handed. Six pitchers has a fastball velo over 80 mph, and two posted velos over 85 mph.

Brock Berry RHP / OF / St Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2020Berry is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class. On the mound, comes from a high three quarters arm slot, works in line down the mound, smooth tempo, repeats delivery, fastball at 70-72 mph, throws for strike, breaking ball at 63-66 mph, late 12-to-6 shape, throws on fastball plane with near fastball arm speed, mostly down in the zone. |
Caden Bressler SS / RHP / Pittsburg, KS / 2020Bressler is a 5-foot-11 190-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class. On the mound, Bressler comes from a high three quarters arm slot, throws with some effort, some hip rotation at balance point, accelerates in line down the mound, fastball at 81-83 mph, some on a downhill plane, breaking ball at 68-71 mph, gradual 11-to-5 shape, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 74-75 mph, slight arm side run, throws for a strike. |
