Constantino is an athletic infielder at 5-foot-10 170 pounds. Offensively- Slightly open stance with loose hands and a leg kick pre pitch. He stays loose when going through the zone and has a balanced finish with an upright stance facing the pitcher. Constantino had a six MPH jump (86) in his exit velo from the last working in 7/17 Marist. Defensively- Constantino has the tools to play in the middle of the infield at the next level. He stays athletic and low as he works towards the ball. Transfers the ball from the midsection, and makes the throws from over- the- top. Constantino is only going to get better with experience.
7/17/18
5-foot-10, 165-pounds. Offensively - Athletic set up with feet slightly open to pitcher. Leg kick gets weight shifted into back hip before getting into forward stride. Squared up to pitcher at landing. Creates stretch/separation with hands before starting swing. Loose hands/wrists in swing create barrel whip. Exit velocity was 80 MPH. Defensively - Light on his feet. Athletic, controlled footwork when moving laterally and working thru the baseball. Loose arm action from high ¾ slot. Quick side shuffle to get momentum on longer throws. Arm strength was 81 MPH.
6/25/17
Athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pound middle infielder. Offensively - comfortable driving the ball to the middle third with a repeatable motion, effective load, keeps hands inside the ball and bat on level path through the strike zone, full extension with an exit velocity of 77 MPH; uses lower body, developing counter rotation between upper and lower half will add power. Defensively - economic use of footwork, sure hands, comfortable transfer, accurate arm at 75 MPH.
10/15/15
Stands at 5-foot-9, 135 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.08. Defensively – He has a nice approach when fielding groundballs, where he chops his feet and works around the baseball. He fields the ball out in front of his body, but at times his hands can get deep. His transfer before throwing across the diamond is clean with one tap before release. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 69 mph. Offensively – At the plate his setup is balanced with a high leg kick stride. His hands are very active (bat waggle) dropping down as he loads, flattening out his bat. He takes a straight path to the ball, aggressive swing for his age with good extension, and has a shoulder high finish. As he progresses through his high school years he needs to focus on not leaking his hands down and always getting through on the backside. His exit velocity was 63 mph.
