Nicklas Breskin, MIF/3B, Pelham Memorial HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-6, 115 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.66. Defensively – He has an aggressive approach when charging grounders with good hands and a balanced body, but needs to get a little lower when fielding baseball. He needs to make sure he gains ground as he throws across the diamond and not pat his glove with ball before the release. His lateral movement is good and has soft hands. He throws with a mid to high 3/4 arm slot across the diamond and has an arm strength of 59 mph. Offensively - At the plate his setup is relaxed and balanced, high leg kick stride, with a bat waggle and bat wrap load behind head. His hands are very compact, swinging most of the time on a level plane, with a shoulder finish. His exit velocity was 63 mph. A young player with a developed workout plan will progress throughout his high school career.
Domenico Bruzzese, OF, Iona Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-8, 155 pounds, an athletic body build. He displayed great speed with the best 60 yard dash time at the showcase, a 6.90. Defensively – He displays good agility, takes a smooth, quick approach when fielding ground balls and proper routes to fly balls. He has good footwork though the ball, with a nice smooth release to the target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 80 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up with a shoulder width stance, no stride, with a transfer of weight to backside as he loads. He has nice hands, swings on a level plane with a slight upward tilt through contact. He gets extension through the ball with a shoulder high finish. With a little work using his lower half in every swing, good things will happen. His exit velocity was 72 mph.
Dillon Cass, RHP/OF, New Rochelle HS, NY (2016) Stands at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds, a lean, athletic body build. He displayed nice speed with a 60 yard dash time of 7.03. Defensively – He display good agility, with a good approach when fielding ground balls and fly balls. He needs to work on his transition from groundball/fly ball to release to target, which transfers into his footwork. He throws with an over the top arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 78 mph. Offensively - At the plate he sets up balanced, with a leg kick stride, transfers weight to backside as he loads. His hand position is out in front of chest with a waggle trigger and then loads hands back. His swing is on plane with an uphill tilt through the baseball. He gets good extension through the ball with a high finish. His exit velocity was 83 mph.
Anthony Chiodi, MIF, Eastchester HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-5, 110 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.23. Defensively – attacks the ball with hands wide, fields low with a fast funnel, straight back arm action to a high-3/4 slot, arm strength of 59 mph. Offensively - Stands relaxed in the box, bat rests on his back shoulder. On the pitch he back loads, small knee lift and stride for timing. Path is a little long at times, barrel is level through contact with a shoulder height finish. His exit velocity was 64 mph.
Nicholas Constantino, MIF/3B, AMD Ossining MS, NY (2019) Stands at 5-foot-9, 135 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.08. Defensively – He has a nice approach when fielding groundballs, where he chops his feet and works around the baseball. He fields the ball out in front of his body, but at times his hands can get deep. His transfer before throwing across the diamond is clean with one tap before release. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 69 mph. Offensively – At the plate his setup is balanced with a high leg kick stride. His hands are very active (bat waggle) dropping down as he loads, flattening out his bat. He takes a straight path to the ball, aggressive swing for his age with good extension, and has a shoulder high finish. As he progresses through his high school years he needs to focus on not leaking his hands down and always getting through on the backside. His exit velocity was 63 mph.
Kyle Cox, OF/MIF, Niskayuna HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.21. Defensively – He takes a good approach to the baseball. When fielding the ball his hands are out in front and has a clean transfer through the release. He gets behind fly balls and works nicely through the release. He throws with a low 3/4 (Sidearm) arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 68 mph. Definitely has more in the tank, needs to work on proper release point and really putting everything into his throws. Offensively – At the plate he has a wide balanced stance, with a small leg lift stride. His hands are in a good loaded position behind his back shoulder, with a back load. His swing plane is straight to the ball with a slight incline through contact. He has good extension through the ball, with a shoulder high finish. His exit velocity was 76 mph. A young player with a good body build who should project highly as he goes through high school.
Jonathan Diforio, MIF/RHP, Iona Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds, lean body frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.80. Defensively – He has a nice approach to fielding groundballs, with a strong arm. He works around the baseball, with his glove out in front, body down low, with a smooth transfer before release. He gains ground as he releases ball across the diamond. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 79 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, short stride, hands are about shoulder height, with a back load. He swings on a level plane to the ball, with a slight tilt upward through the ball finishing with a one handed follow through around shoulder high. His exit velocity was 78 mph.
Carmine DiPalma, OF/MIF, Valhalla HS, NY (2016) Stands at 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, small, thick body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.76. Defensively – In the outfield his approach is like an average high school player. He gets to groundballs and fly balls with good mechanics. He positions himself behind fly balls and works through groundballs with a clean transfer before release to target. He really needs to continue to work at getting his whole body through his throws and not stop as he releases. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 68 mph. Offensively – At the plate he has a wider balanced stance, with a leg kick stride. His hands start out flat and as he loads, he raises bat up straight. He swings on a slight upward tilt through the ball getting good, long, full extension, with a shoulder high finish. He has the frame to produce a lot of power. His exit velocity was 75 mph.
Landon Fagle, C/RHP, Shenendehowa HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, strong body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.78. Defensively – Behind the plate he receives the ball with smooth, soft hands and provides an open target for the pitcher. His footwork is quick out of the shoot and has a quick, clean transfer. He has a fluid arm motion and his pop times were consistently at 2.20 down to second base. He blocks the ball and keeps it in front of him. Had an arm strength of 74 mph. Offensively – At the plate he is very relaxed and balanced, a short stride, hands are behind his back shoulder to start, with a little back load. He swings on a level plane to the ball, with an upward angle through the ball. He gets good, full/long extension through the baseball and with a high finish. His exit velocity was 82 mph. He is a player who shows a lot of power potential as he continues through his high school years…lot of upside.
Antonio Fisher, C/RHP, Hudson HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.75. Defensively – As a catcher he receives the ball smoothly and has quick hands. He gives the pitcher a nice open target. His footwork is very quick and throws with a clean, loose arm action. Has a quick release that leads to pop times being consistently at 1.91 down to second base. Has good mechanics blocking the ball, keeping it right in front. With accuracy and an arm strength of 79 mph he will continued to be a valued commodity. Offensively – At the plate his setup is very balanced, short leg kick stride, with hands near back shoulder. He back loads, hands get to the ball, swing plane is on an upward tilt and get long/full extension though the baseball, with a high finish. His exit velocity was 80 mph and has the ability to hit for power.
Elijah Gelfman-Randazzo, MIF, Hastings HS, NY (2017) Stands at 6-foot-0, 165 pounds, lean frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.48. Defensively – In the infield he has an average approach to the ball. He fields the ball out in front, but needs to work around the baseball. Has a slow, but clean transfer before his release across the diamond. He needs to work through the ball more as he releases to ball to his target. He throws with a 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 71 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up with a slightly open stance, a short stride, with hands by his ear. On the pitch he loads to back shoulder, dropping hands down to chest height. His swing plane is straight to the ball with a slight upward tilt through extension. He get good extension through the ball, finishing high. His exit velocity was 76 mph.
Aaron Guzman, MIF/OF, Hastings HS, NY (2019) Stands at 5-foot-4, 135 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.25. Defensively – In the outfield he gets to the groundballs and fly balls, slow working through the ball. He fields the ball out in front, just needs to work on being smoother and work through the ball. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 59 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up relaxed with a wider stance, short stride, with hands by back shoulder. He has minimal load, with swing plane straight to the ball. He make good contact and finishes around shoulder height. His exit velocity was 59 mph.
Jeremy Hernandez, OF/RHP, Iona Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-7, 145 pounds, smaller body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.30. Defensively – In the outfield he has good footwork getting to the ball. He keeps eyes on the ball all the way through the groundball or fly ball. He works behind the fly ball and works well through the groundballs with glove open, out in front, clean transfer before the release. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 76 mph. Offensively – At the plate his set up is very relaxed and balanced, short stride, with hands taking minimal load. His hands are very compact, swing path is straight to the ball with extension through the ball, finishing shoulder high. His exit velocity was 62 mph.
Joseph Iengo, RHP/1B, Iona Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, with plus size. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.06. Defensively – At first base he has good mechanics, with a strong arm. He fields the ball out in front, has a clean transfer, shuffles his feet before he release the ball to his target. He throws with an over the top arm slot from first base and an arm strength of 80 mph. Offensively – At the plate he is a tall imposing figure with power. His stance is very relaxed and balanced, short stride, with minimal back load. He is very compact and strong, swing path is right to the ball with an upward tilt through the ball. He get nice long extension through the ball, with a high finish. His exit velocity was 88 mph. A player with lots of upside, strong arm and powerful bat.
Tyler Kaplan, 38/1B, Trinity HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.99. Defensively – In the infield he fields the ball out in front, not to deep. A 3B body and range. He works through the ball, slower footwork before release to target. He throws with an over the top arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 65 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, a short stride, hands are shoulder height. He has a back load, swing path is on a level plane, and finishes through the ball shoulder high. His exit velocity was 68 mph.
Daniel Klein, OF, Harrison HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-11, 163 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.10. Defensively – In the outfield he moves great to the ball, with great footwork. He get around fly balls and takes a smooth approach fielding groundballs, working through the ball, a nice crow hop before his release on target. He throws with an over the top arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 75 mph. Offensively – At the plate he is relaxed and balanced, a leg lift stride, with a back load. He has an aggressive approach to the ball, strong bat, with a level swing path through the zone, making solid contact. He gets full/long extension, with a nice high finish. His exit velocity was 84 mph. A player with lots of upside, powerful bat.
Nicholas Lamari, 3B/RHP, Fordham Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.28. Defensively – In the infield he has good mechanic. He fields low with his hands open out in front. He has a smooth transfer, shuffling his feet before releasing the ball to the target. He throws with a sidearm to low 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 73 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up very relaxed and balanced, small to no stride, hands in a good hitting position by back shoulder. He has minimal load, but a strong player. His swing plane is straight to the ball with a slight upward tilt swing through the ball. He gets good/long extension with a nice high finish. His exit velocity was 80 mph. A player with lots of power at the plate…lots of upside.
Jonathan Lattarulo, MIF/1B, Byram Hills HS, NY (2016) Stands at 6-foot-0, 185 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.55. Defensively – In the infield he approaches the ball slower. He fields the ball out in front, slower transfer, shuffles his feet before releasing the ball to the target. He throws with a sidearm arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 64 mph. Offensively – At the plate his set up balanced, a small stride, with a back load. He is compact, swings on a level plane, making good contact. He has a cutoff follow through, finishing around shoulder height. His exit velocity was 78 mph.
Joe Mascia, MIF, Fordham Prep HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-8, 149 pounds, with a smaller frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.77. Defensively – In the infield he has good mechanics when fielding a ball. He fields the ball out in front, with a clean transfer, working through the ball, releasing it to the target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 71 mph. Offensively – At the plate he stands balanced, a small stride, with a back load. He is compact, but aggressive through contact. His swing plane is on an upward tilt, with good extension through the ball. He makes good contact and finishes shoulder height through the ball. Jordan Nelson, 3B/OF, Ardsley HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.11. Defensively – In the outfield he has good mechanics getting to groundballs/fly balls. He gets to the ball with an open glove and moves through the ball, shuffles his feet before the release to the target. In the infield he works though the ball with smooth hands, stays low, smooth transfer before releasing the ball across the diamond. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield/outfield and has an arm strength of 78 mph. Offensively – At the plate his set up is balanced, a small stride, weight shift load. His hands are loaded behind the back shoulder, swing path is on a level plane, with good extension. He ends with weight on his backside, as bat finishes around mid-section to shoulder height. Ryan O'Connell, OF, Ardsley HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-11, 140 pounds, with a lean frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.43. Defensively – In the outfield he takes a good, quick approach to groundballs/fly balls. He works behind fly balls and though groundballs with a smooth, clean transfer before releasing to the target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the outfield and has an arm strength of 74 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up slightly open, a leg kick stride, hands are in front of his face at start. After a back load, compact swing, swings on a level plane, extending through the ball. He’s makes good contact, finishes with a shoulder high finish, with a cutoff follow through. His exit velocity was 74 mph.
Triston Olmo, LHP/1B, Ardsley HS, NY (2016) Stands at 6-foot-0, 183 pounds, with a thicker build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.72. Defensively – At first base he demonstrates good mechanics. He fields the ball out in front of his body, keeping his body low. He has clean, quick transfer, before releasing the ball toward his target. He throws with a low 3/4 arm slot from first base and has an arm strength of 69 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up very athletic and balanced, a small leg kick stride, hands are in a good hitting position behind the back shoulder. He stars with a weight shift backwards, swing on a slight downward angle to the ball, showing good upward extension through the ball, finishing high. His exit velocity was 86 mph. He is hitter with a lot of power and lots of upside.
Tyler Olmo, LHP/1B, Ardsley HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.85. Defensively – At first base he has good mechanics. He fields the ball out in front keeping his lower half down. He has a good transfer, before he releases the ball to his target. He throws with an over the top arm slot from first base and an arm strength of 72 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up athletic and balanced, a small stride, with a little back load. Hands start out toward back shoulder, starts with a little weight shift backwards, swinging straight to the ball and finishing with good extension upward through the ball, finishing high, releasing one hand on follow through. His exit velocity was 78 mph. A young player with lots of potential, powerful, and plenty of upside.

Defensively – Behind the plate he provides the pitcher with an open target. He receives the ball with smooth, soft hands, wide stance, and good footwork. He is clean transfer before releasing the ball to the target. He blocks the ball and keeps it in front of him. His pop times were consistently at 2.32 down to second base. He has an arm strength of 64 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, a leg kick stride, and minimal back load. His hands are held high behind the back shoulder. Starts swing with a weight shift, swing path is on a level plane through the ball, finishing shoulder high. He makes good contact, releasing one hand on follow through. His exit velocity was 70 mph.
Timothy Riordan, 3B/1B, Iona Prep HS, NY (2016) Stands at 6-foot-5, 195 pounds, with plus size. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.42. Grant Rodriguez, 1B/OF, Henrietta HS, NY (2019) Stands at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, solidly built frame. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.48. Defensively – At first base he field the ball out in front of his body, keeping his lower half low. Works through the ball, shuffling his feet before releasing the ball to his target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from first base and has an arm strength of 61 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, a leg kick stride, with a back load. Starts his hands high by shoulder, with weight shift back, he loads hands back, then swinging on an upward tilt through the ball. He raises body up through contact, finishing high with weight on backside. His exit velocity was 70 mph.
Matthew Rowan, MIF, Canisius HS, NY (2017) Stands at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.27. Defensively – In the infield he has a solid fielding approach. He fields the ball with his hands out in front of his body and keeps his lower half low. He works through the ball gaining ground as he releases the ball to the target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 64 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, a small toe touch stride, with a back load. His hands start out in a good hitting position by back shoulder, with a weight shift, hands move back a little. He swings aggressively on a slight upward tilt through the ball. He gets good extension through the ball, with a high finish. His exit velocity was 82 mph. A player with good mechanics and power.
Jonathan Saez, C/RHP, Salesian HS, NY (2018) Stands at 5-foot-9, 145 pounds, an athletic body build. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 7.20. Defensively – As a catcher he provides an open target for the pitcher. He receives the ball well, with a clean transfer, and average footwork. His pop times were consistently at 2.38 down to second base. When blocking he keeps the ball in front. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the catcher’s position and has an arm strength of 62 mph. Offensively – At the plate he sets up balanced, a leg kick stride, with no load. He swings on a level swing plane, finishing shoulder height. He is a contact hitter who needs to utilize his lower half to gain more power. His exit velocity was 73 mph.
Aaron Schur, MIF/RHP, Greenwich (CT) HS, NY (2017) has smaller, lean build at 5-foot-9, 148-pounds. At the plate he shifts weight back on the pitch, slight back load, stride for timing. Short compact swing, barrel stays level through contact, strong balanced finish. His exit velocity was 76 mph. Defensively, moves laterally well staying behind ball, head down with soft clean hands, quick funnel. Back arm-action to a high 3/4-slot at 73 mph, gets rid of the ball fast. Pitching, he uses a simple delivery with tempo, belt high knee lift. Arm action slightly dips down and back some towards 2B, fairly clean action, high-3/4 slot. He strides across his body some creating arm-side run on his fastball and sweeping action on his curveball. Nice balanced finish.
Andrew Steffens, MIF/3B, Sayville HS, NY (2016) Stands at 5-foot-8, 150 pounds. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.07. Defensively – In the infield he has solid mechanics. He fields the ball out in front with glove open, he has quick, smooth hands. He has clean transfer before releasing the ball across the diamond to the target. He throws with a high 3/4 arm slot from the infield and has an arm strength of 68 mph. Offensively – At the plate he is a switch hitter. From the right side he sets up balanced, a small stride, with a back load. He has a compact swing, swinging on a level plane through the ball, finishing shoulder height. From the left side he sets up similar to right side…balanced, a small stride, with a back load. He has an aggressive swing, swinging on a level plane through the ball, finishing shoulder height. It seems like he gets better extension through the ball from the left hand side. His exit velocity was 73 mph.

2016 New York Games
Prep Baseball Report New York is pleased to announce the 2016 New York Games will take place on June 28 - July 1 in Rochester NY. The 2016 New York Games is expected to be the most recruited and scouted event of the summer.
Scouts from three MLB franchises attended the 2015 games along with coaches from more than 70 colleges including Division I schools such as Bryant, St. John’s, St. Bonaventure, Cornell, Villanonva, Niagara, Iona, Radford, Campbell, Buffalo, Kent State, North Carolina Central, Boston College and Monmouth just to name a few.
More than 40 of last year’s participants registered 60 times under 7.0. 49 players delivered exit velocities of 85 MPH or better. 10 catchers notched pop times south of 2.0. 3B Frankie Pizzo (Shenendehowa HS, 2016) topped 18 infielders who threw north of 80 registering 89 MPH across the diamond while 20 players threw 80 or better from the outfield.
The 2015 games brought together New York’s top talent from Long Island to Buffalo and everywhere in between. Nearly 190 players attended last years unique three-day event, as a result more than 20 players have received offers to play at the Division I level - several dozen more will go on to play college baseball. The 2016 games will only be better.
Players will be selected by their region coach through tryouts, previous PBR New York events, and High School / Travel Coach recommendations - This is an Invitation only event.
