Solid body type and 6'1'', 230 pound frame. Strength and power present at the plate. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate. Small leg kick and quiet load with some rhythm. Creates some hand separation and showed a short, compact, level swing. Very quick hands and fast bat speed. Uses lower half well and stay behind the ball with excellent balance throughout. Uses the whole field with ease and has the ability to turn on the pitch in. Great plate discipline and huge upside offensively. Big time uncommitted 2020 prospect that won't be available for long as he continues to crush balls all over the park this season.
MD Preseason All State
6-foot-1, 230-pound strong frame. Hits from the left side with an open upright stance, small leg lift and stride forward landing on-line, and short to the ball. Swing has uphill tilt, displays a high one hand finish, and incorporates the lower half into the swing. Showed pull side power potential and recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Works around the ball well in the infield. Solid glove presentation out front and feet work through the throw. Clean exchange at center and had a short arm action throwing from a three-quarter arm slot at 77 mph across the field. Home-1st time was 4.55. Small rocker step to start the delivery moving to a strong balance point gathered over the rubber. Shoulders and hips show slight elevation as he strides out to home landing on line at foot strike. Arm circle was small and showed some arm speed throwing out of a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball finished to the arm side at 79-80 mph. Curveball showed depth at times at 68-69 mph. Changeup had some downhill plane with arm side fade and solid arm speed at 71-73 mph.
