Athletic body type, quiet body and receives the ball well behind the plate. Offensively, hits form a slightly open stance with a wider base. Smooth back load and medium sized leg kick. Smooth rhythm in the box and strong lower half involvement. Showed quick hands, fast bat speed and a slightly uphill swing path. Turns on the ball well and stays behind it. Gap to gap type hitter with pop.
Evans is an athletic catching prospect out of Archbishop Curley HS. He played multiple positions in 2017 spring contributing in a big role for the Friars on their way to the MIAA championship. Evans is a high ceiling athlete who is on the rise in the 2020 class.
