11.1.15 - Strong durable frame at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds. Controlled delivery. Long, free arm action working downhill on the ball. Clean lower half and some backside drive. Maintains posture throughout finish. Fast arm speed at finish from a high three quarter slot. Fastball up to 88 mph with later run and dart like action. Breaking ball was 67-70 mph with bigger 12/6 action on the pitch. Slows down slightly on the pitch and shows potential. Change was 77-79 mph with fade and near fastball arm speed. Showed good command and feel for the pitch. Good frame and looks like still has more room for more velo.

9.11.16:
Taeschner is 6-3 and has an athletic frame, ran a 7.21 60 yard dash. He hits from the left side with a balanced stance. Leg kick stride with a smooth load back, good rhythm to his swing. Explosive hips and good balance to his swing. Fast bat with a short path and good extension through the ball. Pull approach with power, exit velocity of 94. At first base, footwork is fine with average hands. Plays through the ball, throwing from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action and a position velocity of 76.
6.30.15 - Frame to build on at 6-foot-1 170-pounds.  Throws from a high ¾ arm angle in a controlled delivery.  Pause after hand break and shorter arm action that creates some arm speed.  Pitches with some effort.  Good direction and has some lower half usage.  Fastball and late run and sink up to 80 mph.  Breaking ball has 12/6 action with tight rotation and early break.  Has near fastball arm speed on the pitch at 64 mph.  Change has near fastball arm speed at 72 mph.
2.15.15 Taeschner has a lanky frame that he could add some weight to. He throws from a three-quarters slot and has a very early hand break, which contributes to a short, stiff backside arm action. His arm stroke is quick with regular effort. His mechanics are a bit choppy and his shoulders and hips are open at footstrike. Taeschner’s fastball had heavy sinking action to it and ran 75-78 mph, touching 79 mph. He commanded it well down in the zone. He threw a curveball with gradual 11/5 break that ran 56-60 mph. Taeschner also flashed a fading change-up with near fastball arm speed that ran 64-67 mph.  Positionally, Taeschner hits from the left side and has an athletic stance. He loads back and has good balance throughout his swing and average bat speed, with an exit velocity of 77 mph off of the tee. He has a short bat path to the ball and has an opposite field, line drive approach. He is quick out of the box, running a 4.37 from home to first. Defensively, Taeschner throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and has a short arm action. He has average hands and is athletic around the bag.
