Oles is a lanky 6-foot, 155 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder/outfielder had an exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee. He hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance, with the hands just off the back shoulder. The load is a simple transferring of the weight to the back leg and a pushing pack of the hands into a strong launch position. The bat gets into the hitting zone early and stays on plane well after contact.
In the outfield, Oles was 67 mph on his throws. The feet use deliberate actions to get into a balanced fielding position. The glove is relaxed, just off the front foot. He transfers through the ground ball and into a strong throwing position. He gets into a good line with the target and finishes through the play with a clean arm-swing.
In the infield, he was 63 mph on his throws across the diamond. The feet are active pre pitch and he moves into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ground ball and transfers nicely into a good throwing position. The feet get him into a straight line with the target and he uses a clean arm-swing. He finishes through the play, staying in line with the target.
