Larson is a versatile 5-foot-7, 145 pound left-handed hitting catching/outfield prospect. He hits out of a balanced, even stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load begins with a knee slide and gets him stacked over the back side. The bat path is flat to and through the hitting zone. During the batting practice he showed the ability to drive balls gap to gap and produced a max exit velocity of 84.5 MPH. He also ran a 7.38 second sixty.
In the outfield, he was 75 MPH on his throws from the outfield. The feet were light as he worked to get into position to field and transitioned well into the throwing position. He finished through the play, working uphill with a quick arm swing.
Behind the plate, Larson shows a balanced, square initial stance with the glove set in the middle of the chest. As he transitions to throw to second, the feet replace and get square to the target. He does get quick coming out and leaves a lot of the weight over the back leg. This causes him to recoil just a bit on the follow through. The exchange is quick and allowed him to have a pop time range of 2.0-2.09 and a velocity of 71 MPH.
