The load is short and the bat path is flat to and through the hitting zone. During batting practice, Duphily registered a max exit velocity of 79 MPH as he worked the ball gap to gap. He also ran a 9.25 second sixty.
Defensively, he was 60 MPH on his throws from third base. The feet were deliberate as he worked to get into a good fielding position. The hands were soft as he transitioned through the ground ball into an upright throwing position. The arm swing is short and he finishes through the ground ball in line with the target.
On the mound, he uses a controlled side step to get balanced over the rubber. He gets to a high leg lift before heading down the mound with good direction.
