Jones is a talented 6-foot-3, 190 pound right-handed pitching prospect. The delivery is simple and direct to home plate. He stays balanced throughout and works both sides of the plate out of a lower ¾ arm slot. The fastball sat 81-83 MPH with late arm side life. He throws two different breaking balls. The slider is tight pitch with depth and sat 70-71 MPH. He also shows a slower breaking ball at 67-68 MPH and the feel for a change-up at 78-79 MPH.
I liked Jones’ stuff. The fastball has late life and the breaking balls do a good job of changing planes.

6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. Good looking young arm and frame that really projects. The arm slot is slightly above ¾ and the arm works clean. The delivery is quick in tempo and the tracking of the front shoulder is appropriate. The glove has minimal action to it. The back leg sinks a little too much as he makes his way to home, staying taller should allow him to get better downhill leverage on his fastball. The fastball touched 77 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The command of the fastball was solid throughout. The changeup is 70-72 mph with good fade and sink action. The spin pitch is slurvy as he drops his slot and flips the ball out and around. Needs to stay through the ball longer and make the ball break out front. Pitch sat at 64 mph. Big prospect for me, the frame and arm project very well.
