The load is short and gets him over the back side. The swing is flat through the hitting zone, with a longer stride. During the batting practice he showed a max exit velocity of 83.2 MPH, and a good finish. He also ran a 7.28 second sixty.
Defensively, Lloyd was 65 MPH across the diamond. The feet and hands work well as he plays through the ground ball. He moves well laterally and showed a short, side arm slot as he transitioned through the play. He finishes through the play well, keeping a good line.

The weight transfers to the back leg and the hands push back into a good launch position before heading into the hitting zone on a direct path. The bat-head stays on a flat plane to and through contact.
Defensively, he was 74 mph on his throws across the infield during this event. The feet move well to get him into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ground ball and shows soft hands transitioning to a balanced throwing position. The feet created a direct line with the target and he showed a fluid arm-swing, completing the play.

Works nicely through the ball and gets in a good position to throw. The arm swing is short, clean and stays through in line with the target.At the plate, the tee exit velocity was 72 mph. The stance begins open, with the weight distributed evenly. The stride is a glide step and the hands move back quietly into the launch position. The stroke is flat and extends well through contact. I like his simple flat stroke. I like the potential here and I’m looking forward to seeing his development.
