Jon Mould: 1B/RHP, (2023) Xaverian Brothers, MA. 6-foot-6, 290-pound projectable physical build. Above average projectable at the plate, Mould recorded an exit velocity of 95 mph. (64.74 mph bat speed average). (22.52 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is developing above average, displays an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Solid and capable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 73 mph; showed a clean exchange, developing in control feet, and soft developing hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose long arm action with a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 8.1 in the 60-yard dash. Jon is just starting to tap into his potential as the leverage and strength is in there. With the addition of at bats and innings he should come into his own on the offensive end.

6-foot-6, 290-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. The frame is huge and he has improved his game. The approach is solid in the field, the glove is reliable and he threw 73 mph during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 87 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot is open to start. The front foot closes down and gains ground to the baseball as it approaches the hitting zone. The hands drop a bit as the swing is initiated producing a long and uphill swing. On the mound, the fastball sat 75-76 mph with downhill action at times. The spin pitch 61-63 mph and big in shape. The changeup is solid in action, sitting at 68-70 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in action. The lift is methodical and he repeats the process. The arm is long on the backside and he can do a better job staying online with the top half. He showed the ability to throw strikes during his session.

Mould is a big, young 6-foot-5, 260 pound right-handed pitching prospect. He works out of a controlled, balanced delivery that is in line with home plate. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be aligned longer as that will aid in the extension to the plate. The leverage is easy to see and he needs to tap into that. He attacks hitters with a fastball that sits 69-71 MPH from a high arm slot. The breaking ball has a big 12/6 shape at 58-62 MPH and keeps hitters off balance.
Positionally, threw 62 mph across the diamond during the defensive workout. The arm works free and clean through the throwing process. The glove is solid and the feet can continue to improve as he matures. The bat has an exit velocity of 92 mph as the leverage is outstanding. The setup is even with the feet and the front foot gains ground to the ball as the swing is produced. The hands work, path is slightly uphill through contact with the baseball. He ran a 8.37 sixty at the event.

6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed pitcher and first baseman. The bat has a good life to it, tee exit velocity of 74 mph as the leverage is plus. The setup is even in base, front foot steps into the swing. The path to contact is flat through contact. The extension after contact is solid. The hands work free and clean and he stays in his legs. On the mound, the fastball sits at 65 mph, minimal arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 54-55 mph, big in shape. The changeup is 62-64 mph. The delivery is online and the slot is above 3/4. The process is deliberate and methodical. The arm works clean and he should be an interesting follow.
