8/4/16 Showed very well in Indianapolis as he had two hits in the first game, and was active on the bases. Tee exit velocity of 89 mph. Shortening his path will aid his game as his path is long at times. His at bats are always competitive during the games, as he really competes. Plays very hard and is very reliable in the games. Ran a 7.07 on the laser. In the outfield, had an assist in the game, throwing 86 mph from right field to third in the defensive portion of the workout. He is my type of player, and you wouldn’t know it unless you watch him play a couple games. Super competitive and always paying attention. Someone is going to sneak a good one with this guy.
6/28/16 Right-handed hitting outfielder who threw 84 mph from the outfield and showed a good approach to the ball in the game. Could stay in right field as he has the skill set. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is out of a low crouch, high handed approach. The swing was long in batting practice (wraps the bat) and better in the game, tries to do too much in batting practice. Has a 1-handed finish and slight lift in his swing. Very athletic, I would love to see him make it simpler at the plate, letting his hands do the work. Ran a 4.4 down the line on the dig, there is more in there though.
9/27/15 Aggressive and athletic right-handed hitting outfielder. Showed very well at the workout. Ran a 4.51 down the line on a dig. In the outfield, he showed good range and threw 80 from right field with carry and accuracy. The arm path is long and clean. At the plate, the swing is long but has plus strength to it. His hands work, he just needs to free them up to unleash the barrel head. Does wrap the bat a bit on the backside as he sets up wide with a slight squat on the bottom half. Swung the bat very well in the game, as he showed the ability to get the barrel out and spread the ball. Very active and athletic on the bases.
Fast twitch right-handed hitting outfield who showed an aggressive style of play at the Franklin Pierce event. Ran a 4.48 on a dig to first. Showed good base stealing instincts in the game. In the outfield, he threw 80 from right field and showed the ability to track the ball well. The swing is clean, needs to free his hands up a bit more. Made solid contact in the game and was all over the bases. Has strength to the swing, but the barrel is long to the ball. Shortening down his swing is key to his advancement as he is a plus athlete. Certainly has tools to work with.
