Top Uncommitted Underclass Outfielders
EJ Perry, OF, Andover, 2017
Ranked: 4th in 2017 class
Scouting Report: Super athletic outfielder who shows above average arm strength, good routes on fly balls and game awareness. The bat is in play, flat and simple. Good runner and the body projects to fill out as he matures. Good looking player who is a big follow for many programs in the country.
Frank DiOrio, OF, St John's Prep, 2017
Ranked: 22nd in 2017 class
Scouting Report: Switch hitting outfielder and first baseman. Excellent around the bag at first and handles the footwork well. Ran a 7.0 and gets off the ball in the outfield extremely well. Shows up to play and works at his craft. He can play either position. At the plate, he is more advanced from the right-side, wide base and flat path. Tee exit velocity of 89 from the right side. The left side needs some work from a low hand set up, tee exit velocity of 87. The hands are loose from both sides and paths are similar. Throwing is easy for him out of a high-¾ slot, threw 75 from the infield and 82 from the outfield. Good looking prospect. Keep in mind, he pitches as well. Good spin from the left side. Getting interest from the Big Ten and Big South.
