The load begins with a toe tap and the hands push back into a strong hitting position. The bat path is quick and direct through contact, producing an impressive exit velocity of 93 MPH. Collins shows real athleticism at the plate. His hands are quick and he’s able to use his long limbs to create good leverage within his swing.
Defensively, he was 78 MPH on his throws from the outfield. The feet are athletic and allow him to get into a good fielding position. He transitions well through the ground ball and gets into a good throwing position. He finishes through his throw, keeping the same direct line with his target.

The exit velocity was 85 mph, baseball jumps off the bat. In the outfield, he comes up on the ball well throwing it at 75 mph. There is a slight hesitation during transfer that if worked out, could help the arm be quicker. On the mound, he looked very good. Showing an average leg lift, he breaks apart very evenly, arm action works out of a ¾ slot. Pounds the zone with a pitch mix. The fastball sat 73-75 mph, with a curveball at 61 mph and a changeup at 68 mph. He has a very easy delivery and for a young player with his size is someone you’d want to keep an eye on.
