Athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame with room to add strength. Right-handed hitter hits from a balanced, even stance with rhythm in hands. Uses a smooth, knee-to-knee leg kick to create momentum landing in an athletic position while loading hands into an athletic launch position. Flashes loose, easy bat speed with quality extension through contact. Average strength at contact with gap power posting an exit velocity of 90 mph on TrackMan. Pull approach in batting practice with a more gap-to-gap approach in game highlighted by a 2 hit performance with a double in game one vs. Texas. Athletic defender with active feet, clean actions, soft hands and adjustable arm slot. Plays a little high but athleticism and body control allow for solid body positioning, showing the ability to make all plays. Flashed a spin move on a ball up the middle during defensive workouts where you could see the sure handedness, athleticism and ability to throw from a low slot. Shows a medium, loose arm action with carry across with a positional velocity of 88 mph. Also turned in a 6.79 60-yard dash.
On the mound, the right-hander was up to 87 mph while pitching mostly in the 83-85 mph range. Uses an in-line, athletic delivery, clean medium arm action into a high-3/4 release. Solid average fastball command, shows to both sides of the dish, most effective down in the zone. Featured a breaking ball at 72-74 mph with quality depth. Has a tendency to adjust slot on breaking ball which decreases deception but its a nice pitch that will allow the fastball to play up more as he learns to tunnel it. Also showed a change up a 67-68 with developing feel and arm side fade.
