The former Future Gamer was given the start last Saturday night against Class 5A power Dutchtown and turned in a great outing, while also showing another uptick in velocity. Durbin came out pumping 87-88 mph FB's in the 1st and recorded 2 K's in the inning to really pull the momentum the Eagles way. He sat 86-88 mph in the 2nd, before settling at 84-86 mph in the 3rd and 4th innings. His heater plays best up in the zone, as that's where he was able to induce the most whiffs, and it pairs well off of his high-spinning 69-71 mph CB. Durbin gave Parkview Baptist 4 solid innings, giving up only 2 R and 0 ER with 0 BB and 6 K's, which earned him the win.

The former Future Gamer entered last Monday's contest vs. Lutcher in the Top of the 5th with a runner on 1st base. Although that runner ended up scoring, Durbin filled up the strike zone featuring his FB, which got up to a personal best 87 mph. He sat 86 mph with his heater in his first inning of work, before settling in at 84-85. Durbin didn't have his usual feel for his high-spinning CB, but was still able to log two quality innings of work, giving up only 3 H and 1 ER with 1 BB and 2 K's.

6'0" 165 lbs. with wiry strength throughout. The Parkview Baptist product was on-point once again on Saturday against a talented Catholic High team. Durbin is an athletic mover down the slope and hides the ball well by striding slightly closed to create some "cross-fire" action. His arm is super quick and on Saturday his FB sat in the 85-86 mph range with good life through the zone, and he also showed advanced feel for his 70-73 mph CB that he was able to land for strikes in any count. The former Future Gamer is another guy who's super young for his grade, so we'll be monitoring his development closely this spring, as there is likely more jumps to come in his future.
