6/15/16 - Max FB: 84, FB: 81-84, CB: 72-75, CH: 72
6-foot-2, 185-pound RHP with projectable frame, uses shorter and quick arm action through a high-3/4 slot, arm is loose and athletic, works slightly across body, touched 84 on multiple a few occasions with late sink on the fastball, showed a harder curveball with sharp break, changeup is thrown with good arm action and fades late through the zone. Hawks pounds the zone and works both sides of the plate well. He has firmly established himself as one of the top arms in the 2019 class..2/13/16 -Max FB: 83, FB: 80-82, CB: N/A, CH: 64-67
6-foot-1, 180-pound RHP uses shorter/quick arm action and works though a high-3/4 slot with regular effort in delivery, did not throw a curveball but showed good pitchability in pounding the zone with a fastball/changeup mix, arm is loose and athletic, fastball shows occasional hard arm-side run that will make it effective in missing barrels, shows feel for changeup though he slows arm on occasion, changeup shows some late tumbling action through the zone. Hawks is certainly a 2019 prospect to keep a close eye on with additional velocity to come. The development of a curveball will be interesting to watch.
60 Time: 7.61, Position Velocity: IF-77, Exit Velocity: 85
As a position player, hits from an open stance, short stride, can incorporate more consistent use of lower half, steep swing path at times gets the barrel in the zone late, has some strength in swing, line drive type hitter with gap to gap approach. Shows good hands defensively, average corner actions, slow exchange and long release, solid arm strength for age from a high-3/4 release.
