2020 DRAFT: The Elizabethtown, KY native began his college career at the University of Louisville prior to transferring to John A. Logan JC where he had an impressive career both on the mound and as a position player. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior had an immediate impact this spring for Middle Tennessee where he batted .375 in the shortened season. The right-handed bat blasted 3 homers and 2 doubles with a 1.214 OPS. Defensively, Sullivan showed his versatility in his first season in Murfreesboro seeing time at both corner infield spots, left field, designated hitter and pitched 3+ innings on the mound. The 2016 high school grad was a top 10 player in the state of Kentucky and regarded more as a RHP prospect. He was up to 91 mph with long, loose, quick arm action and late arm-side run.
10/5/2018: Third year sophomore. Transfer from Louisville. Legitimate, athletic two-way player showed his ability to command a fastball at 89-91 and been as high as 94 this fall. Shows feel for both a slider and a change up. Uses a quick bat to drive the ball gap to gap, wearing out the opposite field gap.
9/15/2018: Two-way talent. Competed in the batter’s box. Good bat speed. Turned around several balls for hard contact while staying disciplined and not chasing when not his pitch. Complete hitter with doubles power on this look. On the bump, pumped adrenaline-filled FBs early at 92-94. Settled at 90 for the remainder of his two inning appearance. Firm and fairly straight. Short slider 79-81 mph, below average pitch. Showed his body control while throwing a breaking ball; tripped on the turf during his landing and still managed to throw the pitch for a strike. (Seifert)
