RHP Luke McKenna (Shawnee Mission South, 2028) is an upside 6-foot-5, 167-pound arm to keep an eye on from Tuesday’s event. McKenna used his long levers on the mound to effortlessly run his fastball up to 81.3 mph with plenty more to come as he continues to add strength to his frame. His fastball also played with natural carry at times, reaching 17 inches of vertical break. The soon-to-be freshman also showed the aptitude to command two offspeed pitches for strikes with a slider at 68-69 mph and a low-spin, tumbling changeup at 74-75 mph.
