Kadyn Williams: SS/2B, (2021) Emporia, KS. 5-foot-8, 160-pound slim frame. At the plate, the switch hitter's 90 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power. Starts in a crouched stance with a smooth load, then uses a toe tap to initiate his swing. Bat speed is above average and shows upward swing plane. He Barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 84 mph; has soft hands, a clean exchange and smooth feet. Used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. Recorded a time of 7.16 in the 60-yard dash.
2/16/19 – Williams is a 5-foot-8, 150-pound, switch hitting middle infielder in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 7.28 60 and posted an exit velocity of 82 mph from the right side and 76 mph from the left side. During hitting evaluations, Williams shows a simple and repeatable swing from the left side, leg lift into load, quick hands, level bat path, produced contact to right field. From the right side, across body with stride, quick hands, level bat path, looked to hit the ball to the middle of the field during batting practice. On the infield, Williams showed some athletic actions, fluid glove work, high three-quarter release, glove tap into transfer, accurate throws, positional velocity of 76 mph.
