Inside The KS Rankings: Top Uncommitted 2021 MIFs

As we prepare for the most important summer of all time for amateur baseball, PBR KS takes a deeper look into the latest 125 player rankings release for the 2021 class. Today, we will highlight the top 6 (we couldn't stop at just 5) uncommitted middle infielders in the state according to the rankings. This group features quick twitch athletes with tons of room to continue to develop.

Banks is a 5-foot-9, 145-pound lean bodied and athletic switch hitting middle infielder and RHP in Kansas’ 2021 recruiting class. At the event Banks ran a 7.08 second 60 and 4.11 home-to-first. At the plate, Banks showed an 82 mph exit velocity from the left side and 83 mph from the right, simple load, quiet hands, repeatable swing, toe tap into load from the right side, line drive contact to both sides during batting practice, showed the ability to hit to all fields from the right side. On the infield, Banks showed quick twitch actions, quick to the baseball, long arm action, high three-quarter release, positional velocity of 87 mph (top at the event), mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Banks shows his athleticism, loose quick arm action, downhill tilt, high glove side for added deception, arms and legs coming at the hitter, fastball is 81-85 mph, late action, gets on hitter quick, curveball is 68-71 mph at the event, sharp, late downward action, changeup is 76 mph, near fastball arm speed.
