Coming off of a strong high school season and performance in the state tournament, LHP Grayton Gross (Salina Central, 2026) is one of the top young left-handers in the state. Gross showed the ability to command the zone with a four-pitch mix in Tuesday’s look, running his fastball up to 86 mph with 2,200+ RPM spin. Off of that, the junior spun a 2,300+ RPM curveball at 71-73 mph, a 2,400+ RPM slider at 80-81 mph, and tumbling changeup at 76-79 mph.
