Gleason is a 6-foot-2 195-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 7.57 60 and a 4.77 home to first.  He had an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, toe tap, slight hand movement, leverage in lower half, slight lift to bat path at times, middle to pull side contact, flashes pull side power.  On the infield, high three quarters arms slot, quick to the ball with feet, soft hands with quick transfer, accurate throws, big target at 1B, 79 mph positional velocity. On the mound, Gleason has an athletic build and long limbs, delivery has some deception with a slight hitch after stride leg drops, works at a slower tempo, gains momentum as he works down the mound, controlled leg lift, directional with stride, hides the ball with his back swing, three-quarter release. Fastball sits 82-84 mph, late run to Gleason’s arm side, around the strike zone, changeup is 72-74 mph with arm side run, curveball sat 69-70 mph, slider type spin.
