11/4/17 - Summers is a strong 6-foot 205-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.20 60 and a 4.38 home to first.  He has a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, controlled and smooth load against back leg, accelerated swing, loud contact to pull side, middle to pull approach, quick bat speed, path works down to contact, aggressive.  Behind the plate, 2.05 to 2.14 pop times, 75 mph positional velocity, balanced set up in feet, quick catch and throw, made clean exchange, aggressive first step, feet create momentum to throw, over the top release, accurate throws to the bag, some with carry. On the infield, 76 mph positional velocity, short over the top release, fields ball in athletic position, smooth footwork to the ball, clean transfer on time with feet, mostly accurate throws.
10/30/16 - Taylor is a 6-foot-3 185-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2017 class.  He ran a 7.17 60 and a 4.13 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times.  He has an 89 mph exit velo, one of the top LHH velos. At the plate, tall and slightly open in stance, in line stride, level bat path with quick hands, ga-to-gap approach with mostly opposite field line drives in hitting evaluations, some with back spin.  On the infield, three quarters release, quick and athletic footwork to the ball, plays through the catch with momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws.

11/1/15 - Summers is a 5-foot-9 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. Summers ran a 7.28 60 and 4.53 home-to-first. Summers posed one of the event’s best infield velos at 78 mph, and one of the event’s best RHH exit velos at 88 mph. At the plate, slightly open to square stride, short to contact, quick bat speed, good round of batting practice with consistent solid contact to middle/pull side.  On the infield, fields ball in athletic position, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, hands and feet work together, over the top release, mostly accurate throws. Singled to left during game action.
