8/24/14 - It was standard Minor at the Get Hits for Education All-Star Game.  Fastball 87-89 mph, feel for 65-76 breaking ball and sinking 79 mph change-up.  Plus command of all pitches.

8/1/14 - Minor was in total control for two innings at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis yielding no hits, no walks and striking out three Team Pennsylvania batters. His fastball was clocked in the 84-87 mph range, topping out at 89, also showed a controllable 72-73 breaking ball and one 76 mph change-up.

5/29/14 - Minor bumped his top velocity to 89 three times while pitching at the 5A state tournament in Manhattan.

4/15/14 - Minor continues to improve and impress the more we see him.  On Tuesday the 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander pitched five solid innings scattering six hits, allowing a one run, one walk and striking out five.  Minor has a controlled, repeatable delivery and throws from a high ¾ slot with an easy arm allowing his fastball to get up on hitters quicker than they think.  He worked mostly in the 83-86 mph range with his fastball - topping out at 88.  His feel to pitch is off the charts for a high school pitcher – as he adds and subtracts his fastball velocity as he works through at bats, something sophomores in high school aren’t supposed to be able to do.  Early in the game he worked mostly fastball/change-up to a right-hand hitting dominant Goddard line-up.  On a couple of occasions he located an 83-85 fastball early, showing the change-up (70-74), then ending the at-bat with a strikeout on an extra fastball in the 87-88 range.  Later in the game he flashed an effective 66-68 12/6 curveball.  

1/4/14 - The 6-foot, 170-pound Minor has been the picture of consistency the three times we’ve seen him over the last several months. He has a simple delivery, excellent body control and loose, easy arm action that produces an 83-85 mph fastball in the strike zone.  This past weekend at the Kansas State camp he bumped it up a notch with a couple of 86 fastballs.  Minor also has advanced feel for a 64-66 breaking ball and 69-72 sinking change-up.  He was hands-down the most polished pitcher at the event. 

10/19/13 - I realize that you are supposed to discriminate against sub-6-foot right-handed pitchers in any type of prospect rankings, and I was prepared to do that in Minor’s case – then he pitched two innings and erased any and all reservations.  The Goddard, KS, right-handed pitcher makes pitching look easy.  He has an efficient delivery with clean arm action.  He throws from a high ¾ slot and worked in the 80-85 mph range with his fastball – cutting and sinking the ball seemingly at will.  His curveball was 68-70 and change 69-72.  He has advanced feel and command of all three pitches.  In addition, Minor showed great focus handling his two innings in workman-like fashion.  He looks like a college pitcher now and is in a great position to develop into a national prospect.
