'26 2-way Sullivan Kress (New Prairie HS) was one of the more intriguing prospects of the day. A wiry, 5-foot-10, 160 pound athlete - Kress showcased a live outfield arm, reaching 93 mph from the outfield, an event best. The arm speed translated to the bump in the form of an 83-84 mph fastball. Kress has significant room for growth on the mound, a thrower at this point that is still learning to move down the mound. The arm speed Kress showcased was impressive - suggesting mechanical refinement on the mound will lead to quick improvements. The arm talent Kress showed makes him an interesting '26 follow from the northern part of the state.
