5/7/18Tall, lanky, athletic 6'4 RHP who projects big long term. Pitches from high 3/4 arm slot. Good tempo, clean repeatable delivery with loose arm stroke. Did tend to fall off to 1B side often. Opened up in the 1st sitting 86/88 T89. Worked in the 85/87 range in the 2nd and then settled into the 83/86 range the remainder of his outing. FB got downhill and showed sink with arm side. Mixed in hard 11/5 shape CB that was 74/76 with late bite and depth. Showed ability to throw it for strikes and for an out pitch. Also a 2 way talent that showed his ability to swing the bat with good speed on the bases. Final stat line: 6 1/3 INN, 13 K, 4 H, 3 R, 4 BB. Good follow for the summer circuit.
2/18/18:  6-foot-4, 200 pound pitcher has an impressive frame with some athleticism in the delivery.  Fastball sat 84-86, up to 88.  Command will need to improve as he cleans up timing in his delivery.  Quick tempo, creates some drift in load.  Arm swing is loose, quick.  High 3/4 release.  Breaking ball is young and lacks identity. Featured a few with tight spin and downhill rotation. Change-up sat 78-79 with some fade.  Jake lands firm, topples over front leg.  High follow with his frame and present arm strength.
2/22/156-foot-1, 165 pound 8th grader works hard behind the dish.  Actions are still raw and shows some stiffness.  Just needs more experience.  Slow release on his throws.  Pop times were 2.30-2.38 and was 71 from the crouch.  At the plate starts in a narrow setup using a short stride.  Hands tend to drop during the load.  Average balance throughout his swing with some use of the lower half.  Needs to increase his bat speed.  Uphill swing plane.  Should improve as he physically matures.  Recorded a high exit velo of 66 mph.

PITCHING: 6-foot-1, 165 pounds pitches from a high ¾ slot with a long, loose arm action.  Easy effort, smooth rhythm in the delivery.  Fastball was straight with occasional run at 75-77, touching 78.  12/6 breaking ball showed sharp break at 61-63, but inconsistent in the zone.  Changeup was thrown with near FB arm speed at 69-70 with some arm side run.
