Standing at a long-levered 6-foot-6, 200-pound frame, RHP Michael Fliss (North Central, 2024; Cincinnati commit) really looks the part of a high level prospect on the mound. The Cincinnati commit works from a composed and easy delivery. With the fastball, Fliss sat 84-87, T88 mph with carry through the zone. Still developing feel for a pair of off-speed offerings including an upper-70s slider and a low-70s curveball. Fliss has plenty of upside inside the frame, and will be fun to watch as he continues to gain feel for pitches as well as physicality.

6/30/23
Currently ranked No. 30 in Indiana’s 2024 class. Fliss is listed at a ultra-high upside 6-foot-6, 200-pounds with extra-long limbs. Despite his larger stature, Fliss syncs up his long levers surprisingly well, and is a clean/simple mover on the hill. During his outing he sat in the 82-86 mph that flashed some life through the zone. He also mixed in a 11/5 breaking ball that played with depth that kept hitters off balance, too.
6/20/23
Fliss has been a hot name on the summer circuit as one of the top uncommitted arms in Indiana’s 2024 class and posted his most impressive performance to date at this event. An uber-projectable right-hander standing at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, Fliss worked his fastball in the 86-89 mph range, touching 90 mph a couple of times. The fastball comes out of the hand well and projects to continue to climb in velocity. Fliss showed his typical 71-73 mph curveball, but his 73-77 mph slider was impressive in this look, as he has made significant strides with this pitch since the preseason/spring.
