Body: 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic build.
Hit: (Switch) Athletic. Began in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick. Quick bat speed. Balanced finish, short simple swing. Line drive approach.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity , average 82.5 mph. 63.6 mph bat speed average. 20.6 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (IF) Sure hands, quick athletic footwork, twitchy exchange. Athletic. Movements laterally were quick.
Arm: 84 mph infield velocity. Quick arm action, an-over-the-top slot.
Speed: 6.53 (60-yard).
Cathedral High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-7, 130-pound SS/2B. At the plate, the switch hitter clocked an exit velocity of 63 mph. His stance is balanced and his hands are even with shoulders. He uses a small load with a toe tap. Showed a level swing plane and stayed inside the ball well. While in the infield, he registered his best throw across the diamond at 66 mph. He showed quick feet and athletic actions while making throws. Had smooth hands with a clean transfer. He threw from a side slot. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 7.63.
2/23/2019: Kyuss Gargett, SS/2B, Pendleton Heights HS, 2023, 5 foot 6, 120 pounds, is a thin framed switch hitter. Hands load early on both sides of the plate. Strength will help his separation and power as he matures, as his hands work fine from both sides. He recorded a max exit velo of 73 mph. Feet and hands work well defensively, and he threw 66 mph across the infield.
