'25 OF Connor Reed (Northwood HS) took my favorite round of batting practice of the day. Another strong performer at the 2023 Canes Scout Weekend - Reed laced one line drive after another with a quick and simple left-handed stroke. The athletic, 5-foot-11, 160 pounder hits out of a balanced stance, showing a smooth hand load and leg lift trigger before whipping quick hands through the zone. There is gap-to-gap barrel accuracy within the swing that we have seen translate to gameplay, and his foot speed (6.89 60) is an above average tool.

‘25 OF Connor Reed (Canes Great Lakes) - Athletic, 5-foot-10, 150 pound LHH. Was all over the barrel in gameplay. Sets up in a wide stance - short, quick leg lift stride combined with a small hand load. Fast hands that work direct to the baseball. Short to it with the ability to use the whole field. 6.89 runner.
