Ohio recruit. Strong durable body with tall features through his shoulders and strong hips. Athletic look. Has high hand pump and high leg kick in start to his ¾ arm slot. Separates ball from glove in a high position to his transfer to pitch. Drops and sits on back leg, explodes to extension and stays strong in delivery. Small hook arm action is used to create a balance and tempo for his delivery. Linkel has feel for 4 pitch mix, and appears to have chance to start with a durable look to his strength. FB 89-91. CB 72-76. SL 77-79. CH 77-80.

Athletic bodied righty at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Linkel impressed with a sound delivery, good arm speed and a super low-spin (1,571 rpm average) sinking fastball in the 87-91 mph range. He also mixed in a handful of 71-73 mph curveballs thrown from a high three-quarter slot with higher effort.

+ Coming back from a knee injury that sidelined him throughout the summer, RHP Brady Linkel (South Ripley HS, IN) Linkel showcased some intriguing upside throughout his outing for the Indiana Bulls. The projectable, 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-hander sat 84-86 with some sink to the fastball from a longer,one-piece arm stroke that showed some quickness out front. His breaking ball and changeup both appeared to be developing pitches thrown in the low 70s, but given his time off from pitching, there may be a chance they tick up in the future. The frame and strong arm combined with a competitive nature stood out throughout the outing, and make Linkel a player to follow as he gets his arm into shape.
7/24/18: Solid build 6’2 2021 RHP/3B hits from the right side. Uses tall setup in box. Slight leg lift trigger with hands dropping and bat getting flat through the zone. Showed line drive ability at times. Posted an exit velo of 76. In the field played through the baseball and arm strength was 78 across the diamond. On the mound showed good upside. Pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Quick tempo to the plate and repeats well. Arm stroke is full circle. Stays in line throughout delivery to plate. FB sat 77-80 T81. Showed 11/5 shape CB with potential at 64-68.
