6/12/18:  2019 RHP showed well during his outing. Pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Long loose arm action with some whip. Slower tempo to the plate but ball jumps out of hand. FB showed lived in the 84-87 T88 and flashed good arm side run. Showed ability to locate to either side of the plate and lived in the bottom half of the zone. Flashed a good CB with depth for strikes that also showed swing and miss at 72-75. CH showed well at 77-80 with sink action that was tough on rightys to the inner part of the plate. Interesting 2019 to follow.
4/28/18:  Sarjent fought the elements and a strong wind in his outing versus 2A power Lafayette Central Catholic. Fastball sat 85-86 and flashed an 87 a couple times. Hides the ball well during his delivery with a small cross body throwing motion.   Natural movement on the ball was slightly hampered with a strong cross-wind.  Breaking ball was 72-73 that showed sharp break at times from a high 3/4 slot.   A 78 mph Change-up was shown a few times and shows some potential as a pitch going forward.
4.1 IP  5H  4R  2ER   5K  3BB   67.5% Strikes (56/83).

2/18/18:  6-foot-1, 190 pound right-handed pitcher features a very quick arm, running his fastball up to 88mph.  Long arm swing, slight wrap.  Thick lower half.  Drop and drive type delivery.  Fastball has late run with life.  Curveball has slurve action, 10/4 shape with depth.  Slider has tighter spin, more late action.  Showcased a few plus sliders that can continue to develop into a true out pitch.  Change-up will need to develop as arm slows and creates some arm side fade.  Delivery has rhythm, stays in line with shoulders.  Finishes athletically with a firm front leg.  Physical kid with potential to continue adding velocity.

7/18/17: 6-foot-1, 180 pound RHP showcased long limbs down the mound with life on the fastball. The junior righty travels down the mound with good extension to the plate, releasing the baseball H3/4 slot, gaining good arm acceleration through the follow through. Arm action is long in the back, drifts behind the body, causing some issues with repeatability on release/command. Fastball showed good life, 81-83, touching 84 with late arm side life. Created some downhill tilt with FB. Threw two breaking balls, curveball was 67-68, tendency to pop up and stay on inner half of plate. Slider was thrown more of a sweeping, frisbee type break at 70-72. Changeup was thrown at 68-71, arm speed and body slowed to throw. Good grip on pitch, showed some small fade, will have more life thrown harder.
