Augustana commit. Listed at an upside 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, lean and wiry with room to fill out. Started behind the plate and hit out of the four hole for the Ironmen, finishing the day 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two walks. The right-handed hitter has been off to a hot start this spring, and it's easy to see why; he has a patient approach at the plate, as displayed by his two walks, but he also is hunting his pitch and takes advantage of it when he gets it. He has a simple operation in which he can repeat easily while also remaining on-time, working with a quick/short load and direct path that stays on top of the ball. Quality receiver behind the plate, works down-to-up to present the ball around the zone. Strong arm that plays on the bag with some carry.
