+ RHP Kyle Walter (Minooka HS, IL) is an uncommitted 6-foot-4, 220-pound, broad-shouldered, right-handed pitcher and was arguably the top uncommitted 2021 arm of Day 1 of the Midwest Fall Championship. Walter started on the mound for the Cangelosi Sparks and worked a couple of clean, quick innings. The strong-bodied right-hander has a clean, easy delivery and pounded the strike zone behind a fastball that sat 84-87 mph. Walter was able to consistently command the fastball to his glove side and went to his slider as a putaway pitch. Walter’s slider flashed late 10/4 action, expanded with two strikes and sat 74-76 mph. Should be a high-follow 2021 arm moving forward.
