7.10.18 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, long, athletically built, wide-shouldered, right-handed pitcher. One of the top uncommitted arms in the Illinois’ 2019 class. Smooth, repeatable delivery, works on-line, lands square and finishes athletically. Arm works long, loose and quick from a ¾ slot. Struck out one in his scoreless inning of work. Fastball, commands it to both sides of the plate, down in the zone, late run and sink, sat 87-88 mph. Changeup is go-to secondary offering, confident, maintains arm speed, feel, run and fade action, 79-80 mph. Curveball is still developing, 10/4 action, around the zone, 67-70 mph.
6.12.18 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, strong, athletically-built right-handed pitcher, projectable frame. Long, athletic arm action, gets out front quickly from a ¾ slot, good balance throughout, some effort. Smooth, methodical delivery, shoulders remain level, works on-line landing square and finishing in an athletic position. Fastball, hard, late running action, commanded, sat 87-89. Changeup, swing and miss pitch, maintains arm speed, aggressive armside run and sink, commanded. Curveball, 10/4 shape, depth at-times, some feel for pitch, 65-70.
4.27.18 - Uncommitted Junior. 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, long, lanky frame, athletically-built, can hold and will add additional strength. Works from a ¾ slot, long, reaching arm action, quick arm speed, repeats slot. Drop and drive delivery, simple rhythm, works on-line, lands square, finishes crossing over. Fastball, heavy run arm-side, late sink when located low in zone, 85-87. Changeup, fastball arm speed, heavy sink and fade, located low in the zone, deceptive, swing-and-miss type pitch, throws in any count, 73-74. Curveball, slurve action, serviceable, given quality of changeup, 68-69. Maintains slot, rhythm, and arm speed between fastball and changeup, creating deception. Pitched in unfavorable conditions, 20 mph wind gusts blowing out, wind chill in low-30s, light rain.
